TURKS AND AZERIS ATTACK ARMENIAN INTERNET WEBSITES

In connection with the 90th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide the Turk and Azeri hackers more and more frequently attack the Armenian Internet sources. The Armenian forums are the main target. Hayk Asatrian who is the author of several Armenian web sites noticed the activization of attacks since late February. "They not only damage our web sites but also change the messages of the forums, " Asatrian said. For instance, he noticed that at www.genocide.com where various genocides of the world are being discussed the web page of "The Armenian Genocide" has been recently renamed into "The So-Called Armenian Genocide. Such A Thing Never Happened."

In order to protect his web sites form the attacks of the Azeri and Turk hackers, Asatrian forbade the reception of the messages from the Turkish and Azeri IPs to his sites. Asatrian receives each message sent by them and only after having read that he posts them on the Internet.

The hackers have already damaged genocide.ru, forum.hayastan.com, genocideevents.com web sites. It is almost a week that the forum of Iravounk web site doesn’t function. Hrachia Khachatrian, designer of the page found out that the hacker is an Azeri young man who is in the sphere for almost two years. "He deleted the whole information of the forum, writing curses instead." Hrachia Khachatrian said. One can easily find ways of damaging various programs in Internet. Today, the forum page of www.iravunk.com is being updated and a protection program will be installed.

The experts say that till April 24 the hackers will attack our sites more intensively. "Hacking is no way of struggle against the attacks of the Turks and Azeris for us. We need to secure our safety at state level, i.e. the government should prepare specialist of the sphere," Khachatrian said.

This is so petty, it's not even worth getting worked over. It just shows desperation really.

A good solution to this problem is using honeypot schemes. For example, pop up a bunch of such forums mirrored all over the place that are somewhat hard (yet easy) to break into, but make them very easily recoverable.

Then let these idiots waste their time and resources to break in. Wait a little bit, and restore the site back to original. :D

As an analogy, they will basically be going around trying to empty the water out of a bunch of pot holes on the streets by sucking on a straw where all you have to do to fill them back up is rain on their parade (I was going to say something about relieveing one self after a lot of beers but you get the idea)

I hope they feel cool. Hacking our websites? Lol. Wow. That's pretty gay if you ask me.

But I thought the Turks and the Azeris were the victims? Aren't we the ones that are supposed to be attacking their websites? That's what they'll say, anyway.

That's the point. I view this as a total act of desperation. I've always thought this: If what we are claiming is such a far fetched lie, and any historian can "see through it", why do they go to such drastic measures to deny it?

agh i dont expect any different from these turkic people. They are retaliating the same a 4 year old child does when you accuse them of something, they cant fight you directly, so they bother you and annoy you. They have all these sites depicting the so-called massacres the armenians committed against the azeri's during our liberation of Karabagh. Like I said im not surprised, not surprised at all.

Oh come on folks, don't be so freaking redicilous! I am a member of nearly every single Turkish hacker group out there, and have never heard of such a thing, ever. Some of the fellas do attack numerous Greek websites every now and then, but hacking an Armenian website is a clear disgrace to a Turkish hacker. Pleaseee! :)

"I'm just an innocent Turk who only hacks Greek websites! Not Armenian ones! Never!"

Armenian websites look too innocent to be hacked. A potentian hacker usually breaks in tears after seeing an Armenian website for a few seconds, then it becomes hard to hack it with all the imotions involved. I wonder if my lovely Siamanto would understand what I'm trying to say... :D
